Welcome to The Detour Band's Website

Yeah Yeah I know... but Look I UPDATED THE PAGE!!!!
It's been a while, but I thought I better start changing up some things.
I'll try to keep our current calendar on here... well... current.
That way you all will know when and where we're headed out to next.

Thanks again for being great fans, friends, and family... you guys really are what make this fun for all of us!

Our FaceBook Profile has some songs from our Live at the Andes Hotel 2007 CD

  Wow!!! Long time no type!

Yeah yeah I know, I've fallen victim to Facebook, and other sites rather than keeping this one up to date... So I'll try a little harder to update it, if you guys can try a bit harder to come here, use the forum boards, write stupid stuff on the walls here, you know... just generate some interest...
Back when this first started we got a lot of ideas for songs, places to play, and other things for you, the friends and family and fans to benefit from.

1st off, I'll try to get our calendar updated as soon as possible... ok maybe that'll be 2nd or 3rd thing because I have to get ahold of JC for that one.

Anyways, I'll try to keep this somewhat up to date folks.

Cheers,
Sean

  Upcoming Events DETOUR 2 ANDES

I Know, I know... I've been reticent in my duties here on the site.
However I must inform everyone of our upcoming show.

Tamara Snyder, Musical Director of Andes Central School (and long-time friend of the Band) has put together a unique experience for a Benefit Concert This Friday (May 29th) at 7:00 at the Andes Central School Gymnasium.

Donations will be accepted for Kerry McCracken who is recovering from a horrendous automobile accident last year.

This time around Detour will be playing with the ACS Band to fill out the sounds on some R&B Standards in addition to our standard sets. (Not to mention rotating some Bass Players around so Carl can play sax on the tunes ;) )

Hope to see you all there, and if you have any other questions about the show, please feel free to contact us, or if you are on facebook, check out... Detour 2 Andes on Facebook

  Upcoming Events We're Baaack!!!

Yeah, I know I've been lax in keeping the site up-to-date... But really hasn't been much to report... (or at least in an effort to keep surprises secret ;) )

We will be having our first Andes Hotel Show of the Season on Saturday, March 21st starting around 9:30 pm.

As many of you know, you'll want to get there early... the Big Yellow Room has a tendancy to fill up quickly. Also, Ed and the great crew at the "Hotel" are planning a St. Patricks Day Celebration for those who missed it, (or can't remember it)

Hope to see you all there!

Basic Detour stuff Thanks for the turnout

Just wanted to thank all who attended our year end finale at the Andes Hotel last weekend. It has been quite a year for us playing different gigs than "normal".

Looks like we'll be taking a couple months off and planning on coming back out sometime in late February/ early March. I'll send out an email to you all once we get it somewhat verified.

Thanks again to Ed and Sally for providing us with our "home away from home", the staff at the Andes Hotel, and of course to all our friends, fans, and family without whom we'd still be playing in a small corner in the tavern :)

Thanks again, Happy Thanksgiving, Seasons Greetings, Happy New Year, and any other holidays we may have missed! :)

Upcoming Events Last Show of 2008

Well it's that time of year again. Detour will be playing it's final show of 2008 at our "Home away from Home" at the Andes Hotel Saturday the 22nd starting around 9:30 pm.

We really are looking forward to making this shindig one to remember... (or try to remember the next morning :) )

We'll be spending our "Winter Break" finishing up some of our Originals we started last winter break as well as working on some new monolithic medley's and other fun stuff.

No immediate plans have been made as far as when we'll be back in '09, but President's Day weekend has been kicked around as a possibility.

Thanks again to everyone who has come out to support us this past year, and we hope to see you on Saturday Night!
